Thanks for taking an interest in Beyond HR! As the Managing Director, I have a successful track record of helping business owners gain greater confidence in their people. I love to see the faces of my clients light up as they begin to see the tangible value from the work Beyond HR performs.

I have worked in HR for 13 years across a myriad of industries in Australia and overseas. I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Criminology), Graduate Diploma (Employee Relations & Human Resource Management) and Master of Commerce (ER & HRM) all from the University of Melbourne. I also completed the Management Acceleration Program at INSEAD business school (France) and hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

I am passionate about working with business leaders who understand that their people are a major source of competitive advantage, and they just need the right business partner to help them maximise this.

Coming from a family of small business owners, I’ve always been inspired by effort and innovation and I’m fortunate to work with people who inspire me every day. Yes, I studied business and HR, but what I’ve learned from being on the ground supporting businesses across a variety of industries has been equally valuable.

A key learning has been that relationships are integral to success. It can be easy to focus on the numbers (and don’t get me wrong, they’re important!) but we get to know the human beneath the resume and role titles and how they form part of the team that helps your business grow.

Aside from work, what brings me joy is making time to visit the family in Tassie, terrible puns and truffle on everything!

As a result of my strong background in retail, I developed an interest in working with people. This interest led me to study human resources and has now resulted in me joining the Beyond HR team. These combined experiences mean I fully understand the importance of finding people for businesses, with the determination and attitude to succeed and progress in their careers.

Aside from my weekly habit of finding great brunch spots with delectably strong lattes and hearty servings of smashed Avo on toast, there is no better feeling than working alongside my team to acquire eager and motivated candidates to help the innovative businesses we work with grow.

Spending most of my career in the finance industry leading people and building rapport with customers, it had always been clear to me that I was a people person. I love getting to know people and building relationships in and outside of an office setting. You spend most of your time at work and it’s important to make sure the environment is safe, fun and to try and radiate as much positive energy as you can (although acknowledging it can be hard at times of course).

I completed a double degree in Business Management & Finance, which gave me a lot of the foundations to flourish here at Beyond HR. I get the most satisfaction out of running the day-to-day operations/making sure everything goes smoothly, understanding the needs of people and how I can help, coaching, mentoring, hanging out with my sausage dog (Norman)… the list goes on.
